7-Day Horseback Riding Adventure from Tusheti National Park to Khevsureti
Ride through Georgia’s wildest mountains with locals who call Tusheti home.

Day 1: Tbilisi-Omalo
Our journey will commence early in the morning at 07:00. We will travel to Kakheti through the Gombor Pass, crossing the Abano Pass at 2945 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views. En route, we will enjoy lunch. Upon arrival at the visitor center in Omalo village, you'll have the opportunity to learn about Tusheti National Park. After check-in at our family hotel in Omalo, we'll visit the Keselo Castle Towers. Dinner will feature traditional local Tushetian and Georgian dishes.
Day 2: Omalo-Dartlo- from this day we will continue our trip with horses.
Following breakfast, we'll depart for the village of Dartlo. We'll visit the Que Overlook, known as the Eagles' Overlook, where, if lucky, you might spot eagles. Dartlo, listed as historical and cultural heritage, boasts restored ancient architecture. We'll spend the night in this picturesque village, exploring its beauty. Lunch will be served, and we'll venture to the village of Kavlo to admire ancient historical castle towers before returning to Dartlo. Dinner will be served at our family hotel.
Day 3: Dartlo-Girevi
After breakfast, we'll journey to the village of Girevi, passing through scenic villages like Farsma and Basso. Girevi, the last village in the valley accessible by road, marks the beginning of the route to Khevsureti. Lunch will be enjoyed amidst nature. We'll stay at a family hotel in Girevi, where a traditional dinner awaits in the evening.

Day 4: Girevi-Kvakhidi
After morning breakfast, we'll continue towards Khevsureti, traversing the Atsunta Pass, which offers spectacular views. Lunch will be served en route. We'll camp in Kvakhidi for the night, pitching tents and enjoying dinner.
Day 5: Khvakhidi-Khidotani
We'll start the day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on the stunning Atsunta Pass, at 3431 meters above sea level. After lunch, we'll cross the pass and arrive at Khidotani, encountering picturesque villages along the way. We'll spend the night here.Evening we will have dinner
Day 6: Khidotani-Ardoti
Today, breakfast will be enjoyed in Khevsureti as we continue our journey, bidding farewell to our horses and companions. After lunch off course , we'll reach the village of Ardot, where we'll transition to an off-road vehicle. We'll spend the night in a charming family hotel in Ardot, indulging in traditional Georgian dishes for dinner.
Day 7: Ardoti-Tbilisi
After breakfast at the family hotel in Ardoti, we'll depart for Tbilisi. En route, we'll visit several Khevsureti villages, including Shatili and Korsha, as well as the Lebaiskar Castle. We'll cross the Bear Cross Pass and visit the Zhinvali Reservoir before returning to Tbilisi.

Tusheti is a land of strong traditions.
Pork is not eaten or brought into Tusheti.
In some sacred places, women are not allowed to enter – your guide will explain these along the way.

Terms & Conditions
This horseback ride is suitable for all levels of riders. Beginners will be supported by local horsemen, while experienced riders can enjoy challenging trails.
Daily riding: 4–7 hours.
Safety helmets provided upon request.
Group size: minimum 4, maximum 12 riders.
A deposit of 30% is required to secure booking. Balance payable upon arrival.
Weather in the mountains is unpredictable – itinerary may be adjusted for safety reasons.
• Reservation & Payment – A 40% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the trip starts.
• Non-Refundable Deposit – The deposit is non-refundable, as we make arrangements and prepare horses specifically for each rider.
• Travel Insurance – All participants must have travel insurance that covers horseback riding and adventure activities.
• Respect for Nature & Environment – We are traveling through protected landscapes. Riders must follow Leave No Trace principles, respect wildlife, and avoid disturbing the natural surroundings.
• Respect for Local Culture – This journey takes you through remote areas where traditions are deeply rooted. Please be mindful and respectful of the local communities and their customs.
